Transcription Mode: cell height too short!

Hello again:

Thanks for fixing the issue of cell height calculation in Transcription mode in ELAN 6.5. Unfortunately, an apparent side effect of the fix is that if I attempt to type a two-stroke diacritic (for example, Option-E followed by any character to produce an acute accent) ELAN freezes and I must use the “Force Quit” option — which causes me to lose ALL changes for the current work session! The same thing happens, when using my IPA keyboard if I type a two-stroke character (for example, Option-I followed by Space to get ɨ).

The version of ELAN 6.5 that has this issue is the one I obtained by downloading ELAN_6-5_M1_mac.dmg.

Consequently, I have gone back to using 6.3, since 6.4 doesn’t work on my MacBook with an Apple M2 chip.

Is there any work-around for the issue described above, or is this a matter of waiting for another fix in ELAN 6.6?

Thanks!
