Copy-paste annotations from a tier to a tier in another .eaf file.

I was wondering if it is possible to select all the annotations within a tier and paste them all in a new .eaf file which runs a different template. In other words, what if I realize I need to add ,say, a dependent tier in my template and don’t want to annotate again the couple of videos I’ve already created annotations on? More widely, I would like to be able to add new tiers if necessary, being able to export annotations from a tier to its analogous/twin in the new template. I hope this is clear. Thanks!

I believe these are two different issues?
The first one is whether it is possible to update annotation files that have been created on the basis of a template and you discover that you need more tiers. Updating the template doesn’t update files that have already been created with it. You can use File->Multiple File Processing->Edit Multiple Files… to add (in)dependent tiers (and/or types) to a set of files at once.
The second one is about moving/copying annotations to another file. It is possible to copy and paste annotations, but only one annotation at a time (possibly with dependent annotations). To copy the annotations of an entire tier to the “same” tier in another document you could try File->Merge Transcriptions… and select the tiers you wish to have “reduplicated” in the other transcription.

I hope I understood the question correctly.
