Video playback issue on Linux (ELAN 6.9)

Hello,

I am experiencing a video playback issue in ELAN 6.9 on Linux Mint related to playback speed changes.

When the playback speed is set below or above normal, and I move the cursor to a different position in the video, the video briefly freezes and the audio lags by about 1–2 seconds. This happens every time the cursor is moved, but not when simply pressing play/stop. The issue does not occur at normal playback speed.

If anyone has encountered this problem or has suggestions, I would appreciate your help.
Thank you!

Hello,

Do you observe any logs in the end of the log (View->View Log…) anything that specifically refers the playback rate?
Whether or not slow or fast motion works at all sometimes also seems to depend on the type or encoding of the video. It’s good to check if the encoding of the audio/video are according to the ELAN encoding guidelines
Do you observe the same problem with [one of our ACLEW example media sets]?
It is reported in the document that on slower machines, the slow motion playback may not work properly.

Best,
