is it possible to have video clips attached to the controlled vocabulary? We transcribe sign language, and in the program we currently use it is possble to see a performance of the sign in a video clip, when selecting the written gloss form the controlled vocabulary. That makes it easier to be sure that the correct item from the CV is chosen.
I can see that it is possible to add a description, bit can the description be a video?

Hi,
The only approach to do that in the current versions of ELAN is described in the manual in the sections about the SignBank lexicon service and the Media displayer.
We are working on extending the options to link annotations and controlled vocabulary entries to external resources, like video clips, via an existing “external reference” property and possibly also via annotation content or, as you suggest, CV entry descriptions. So, that’s for future releases of ELAN.
