Typing in a different script/character set/input method

I’m trying to write transcription in a different script (aka character set). It’s called Wancho, it’s in unicode, the font is installed on my pc, and I can type it with Keyman in browser/Word/FLEx/etc. However, when I try to type it in ELAN, it just shows up as squares. I tried both “None” and “System default” as Input Methods in Tier Attributes. Any idea what else I can do to make it work?

Hi Eline.

You can add the Wancho as a font in your tier.
Tier → Change tier attributes → more options → Tier font ->Browse and add Wancho font.
In the input method of tier attributes if you select the IPA-Extended then you can type in the Wancho font.
