Translations for multilingual annotations

Dear ELAN gurus!
I am working with sign language data and would like to find some way in which I can get my glosses translated semi automatically in the ELAN file to create multilingual ELAN files. So for example, I have glosses for each sign in English and would like to have another tier with aligned annotations but a translation into Indonesian. I am particularly looking for the gloss level annotations. Is there a way a la find and replace that does not require me to do this one by one, e.g. through feeding in a translation list as excel or alike? There might be specific conventions in each language which is why i would prefer a list-based workflow over some sort of automatic translation. Thanks a lot in advance!

Dear Hannah,

There’s currently no built-in feature for “find and replace” or gloss-level translations in bulk via an import list such as Excel within ELAN itself.
Users typically export annotation data from ELAN, process it externally (such as with Python or Excel ) or use workflows involving other linguistic tools to manage glossing and translations, and then re-import/synchronize the data back with ELAN.
