In the annotations I have to include lots of repetitive descriptions e.g. “((v: laughs))”.
Is there a way to create a shortcut? I am aware that there are shortcuts for functions - but what about user-specified vocabulary? Is this the Controlled Vocabulary?

Controlled Vocabularies could be a candidate if this kind of descriptions are mostly the only content of annotations on specific tiers. But if these descriptions are usually combined with and/or inserted in other free text in annotations CV’s are not very convenient. CV’s are useful if their entries provide the sole content of the majority of annotations on specific tiers.
We don’t yet have a user definable ‘pallette’ with characters or strings that can be inserted with a shortcut or mouse click (but this is on the wish list).
