Hi, I got an issue reading segment. Once selected, I use CTRL + SPACE to read it, Then it starts reading and carry on reading instead of stopping at the end. It ramdomly stops correctly at the end of the segment. It’s the same in transcription mode, most of the time, the reading keeps going on instead of stopping.
I’m using the 6.1 on Ubuntu and files are m4a or wav.
Thanks for helping

Hi,
Just to be sure: I assume you’re referring to Shift+Space to play a selected segment?
On Linux the default player is based on the VLC player and it isn’t very accurate when it comes to (stopping at the end of) playing a selection.
In the Edit->Preferences->Edit Preferences->Platform/OS panel, there are some alternative players that you can try as the “preferred” framework. Maybe the JavaFX based player also supports .m4a (not sure) but it has similar accuracy problems as the VLC player. wav files can be played by the Java Sound based player, which you can also try.
I hope I correctly interpreted your question.

Thank you. Java Sound based player is indeed the solution.
EDIT: I answered too quickly, and I understand now what you mean by “accuracy problems”. Elan is not really user friendly on Linux based system.
