I want to use the ‘suggest panel’ view with an external controlled vocabulary because otherwise I have to scroll through hundreds of options to find the right gloss. My ELAN uses English, Hebrew and Arabic. The suggest panel view seems to work in Hebrew but in English, it does not. When I use option+cmd+U, it switches to suggest panel but when I type, it does not filter. In fact, it just shows nothing. Is there a reason why this might happen?
Hello,
This is difficult to explain; when trying this on my system, the filtering in the suggest panel seems to work as it is supposed to. But it might be that your setup or use case is different in some way. E.g. do you have multilingual controlled vocabularies, or different vocabularies per language? Do the (involved) tiers have a content language set? Do you have a language selected in Options->Language for multilingual content and do you ever switch languages?
Finally, just to be sure, do the settings in the CV Preferences Panel, e.g. the ignore case setting, make any difference?

Hi Han,
Thanks for your reply. I am not sure how to try some of the things you mentioned. SignBank is in 3 languages so I have multilingual content and I do switch between languages using the Option button. I don’t know where to find CV preferences panel?
Thanks,
Rose
Ah I found it with some googling. Ignore case worked! Thank you so much!!
Ok, great that that solved the problem!
