New installation on Win 11 locked by administrator

Hi!

I’m new to Elan and have just installed on my Win 11 laptop. But when trying to start ELan from the start menu, I am told it is locked by administrator.

Now, I can of course become admin, but it is somewhat cumbersome since this is a university laptop. So: is there a way to get around that constraint on it, so I just can run it as a normal user?

Hi,

I don’t think this constraint is defined by the ELAN installer?
Did you use the .msi or .exe installer? At least the latter allows to specify a location for the installation and I guess that should provide the best chance for being able to execute ELAN after installing.
