Merge Annotations Automatically

I want to merge annotations whose gap is under 300 milliseconds. Is there a way to do this quickly (e.g. conditional statement)?

So far I am using the Gaps function, exporting and filtering the data with R or Excel, and then going back to ELAN to merge the annotations that are under 300ms.

There’s currently no single function to do that and I don’t immediately see a good ‘workaround’.

This probably is already on the wish list, otherwise I’ll add it.

I have a similiar question. Is it possible to automatically merge annotations that have the same value and no gap between them?

Hi,
I’m afraid I have to give the same answer to this question; there is currently no such function. This might well be on the wish list, otherwise I’ll add it (the functionality can then be combined with the earlier request with slightly different options).
