IMDI & Arbil have a field named “Applications”. I haven’t been able to find any description of what this means. I’m assuming it means “software applications needed to view this data”, but can someone confirm that?

The meaning is roughly “what can this corpus be used for”. There should be a Controlled Vocabulary for you to choose from, but due to some oversight on our side it is missing. We will put it into the next version of Arbil which is due to be released in a couple of weeks. Before that (probably already by the end of next week) this change will be in the testing version which you can access from here:

Until then, you can have a look at the list of options in its original form for inspiration. It is an XML file, but should be human-readable enough, I think.
