Is it possible to remove the message "There is unsaved data, would you like to save it?"

Is there a way to cancel the message There is unsaved data, would you like to save it?, that appears when closing an eaf file?

I find this a very useful feature, especially after adding new data or modifying a file. However, when running searches on my collection of eaf files, I often just open a file, check an example, and close it without any modification. Even if I just check the example, ELAN appears to consider that there is unsaved data somewhere in the file, and thus the message is triggered when closing the file. I think that not having to respond systematically to this message would save some time to linguists following such workflows (i.e checking all instances of a word in a collection of eaf files for semantic analysis).

Thanks,

Here is a solution that worked for me:

There is one preference setting that might help here: Edit->Preferences->Edit Preferences->Media, a setting labeled “The document’s changed flag is set when the media location has changed” (screenshot attached). Because that might be the case in the situation you describe: when a file is loaded after a search, ELAN still tries to locate the media files as it usually does, and it might be that resolving the location of the media files results in a different, changed, absolute paths of the files, which is recorded as a change in the document
