I need to annotate objects within a video. I would like to add x and y coordinates for each annotation along with the timecodes. I haven’t been able to find any information how to do this or if it is possible. Can anyone help?
Hi, ELAN provides very limited access to coordinates within a video. A click on a location in the video copies x and y coordinates to the clipboard/pasteboard, it can then be pasted e.g. into a (dependent) annotation.
The format of the coordinates can be altered with the Alt/Option and the Shift keys, as described here.
So, no bounding boxes or the like.

PS. I just noticed that the copying doesn’t seem to work correctly on Windows (ELAN 6.4) with the player for mp4 videos.
