Hello everybody,
Since 6.1, I am experiencing font problems on Fedora34. I cannot change my the font default, and the default itself does not provide a workable interface for me.
Everything else on my PC works normal, so I suspect that this problem may lie in some ELAN configuration on my side, or somewhere in the communication between fedora and ELAN. Is anybody familiar with that error and can help me out?
Also, it looks like this in 6.1 and 6.2, but in 5.9 everything is normal.

As of ELAN 6.0 it is possible to set (and reset) the preferred font (for tiers and annotations etc.) in the UI, via Edit->Preferences->Edit Preferences->User Interface. Does that work in your case?
These settings are stored in a file “elan.pfsx” in ‘home/.elan_data’; you could try if it helps if you (re)move or rename this file (when ELAN is not running).
In all mentioned versions of ELAN it is also possible to set a font and font size in a properties file (elan.properties), but you would probably know if you changed it there.

Thank you! It seems as if deleting the file did indeed do the job. I previously tried changing the default font however, which did not work out. In case I encounter the problem again I will write you, but everything is working now.
