I don’t know if it’s a bug in the software, but I cannot export from Elan to Praat text grid. I’m following the directions shown. I’mm running the latest software of both programs. Every attempt kicks back with an error that it is read only. Do I need to save the file in a different format in order to be read?

Some information might have logged in the file which can help us find out the reason for this.
You can go to View → View Log and attach the complete file here.
Also please share the screenshot of the read only error message you see on the screen.
