There is a big question about my ELAN. When I opened the annotations I had made, they were all gone. No matter whether I re-downloaded a new annotation file stored in the web disk or re-installed the ELAN, once I opened the eaf file, it was blank.
How can I settle this issue? The content of annotations is very important to me. I don’t know what I pressed to make all the existing annotations disappear.

Could it be you, by accident, selected to work with ‘Tier Sets’?
In the popup context menu of your screenshot it would be in the second of the three menu items that are not greyed out, the first item in that sub-menu reads Work with tier sets in the English interface and should probably be deselected (unless you are actually working with tier sets).
