I am part of a research group which is building a corpus of spoken language and we are using ELAN as a transcription tool. My questions are
Is there a web version of ELAN?
Is it possible to upload the ELAN interface for user’s use (excluding the chance to modify it)?
I would be grateful for any suggestions you might have.
Thank you in advance for your support
Hi Alice,
There is currently no official web-version of ELAN. ELAN is a desktop application available for Windows, macOS and Linux and must be installed locally on your computer.
If I understand the question correctly, you cannot directly upload the ELAN desktop interface itself to the web for users to interact with in a browser. However you do have options to share ELAN annotations with Export as HTML : this allows you to export your annotations as HTML and you can use this to upload to your website or share with others.
