ELAN eaf file does not open (blank shown)

I had the same issue about a year ago. (I tried to paste the link to that post, but it gave me an error.)

I am facing the same issue again, but with a different eaf file (ELAN version 7.0). It worked fine until three days ago, but now when I try to open the eaf file, it is totally blank. I ran “Validate eaf file” and it gave me the following. I wish I knew how to fix it, but if anybody could help me, I’d be grateful.

Hello,

It looks like there are several annotations in the file with the same ID. How are these annotations created ?
If you have a recent backup of this file, you can try to open backup file in ELAN and see if you can restore the back up file via menu File → Restore backup File… If there is no backup file, you can share this eaf with me I can have a look. (Divya.Kanekal AT mpi.nl)

Hi. Thank you. You saved me the last time, too.
I have the automatic backup on, so I tried to do Restore backup File with the backup file, but it gave me the same blank window.
The original file was imported from Toolbox, and I linked the audio file to it, then was working through it adjusting each line of a text to the audio file. It worked without any issue for a couple of weeks, then this just happened today.
