Does anyone know if it’s possible to edit videos based on the start and end times in ELAN? I assume it might only be possible by exporting the start and end times but are these then compatible with any editing tools to edit the video into shorter clips of individual signs based on the annotation information?
I am sure I’m not the only one who might have wondered about this - is it possible?

Hi Rose,
Yes, others wondered about this before, which led to a workflow as described in this section of the manual. It is based on an export to delimited text and on clipping with a script (which you have to setup first).
And maybe there are tools on the third party resources page that do the same, but in a more convenient way (e.g. ELAN2split, I didn’t try it myself)?
