I’m using ELAN the latest version 6.9, and I import data from SIL’s Toolbox and combine it with an audio file, then align the segments with the audio, etc. I’ve been doing this with dozens of different files without any issue for years. Just a few days ago, I tried to open an eaf file I started working on, and it does not open – or it is totally blank on ELAN. I found ‘Validate eaf file’ from the menu, and it gave me what I paste below. I searched on this forum for similar incidents and there were a few (2020 was the latest, I believe); however, I could not find a solution on how to fix it. I would appreciate it if anybody could help me with this file, and also, if there is a way to prevent it from happening in the future. Many thanks!
