I am sorry this is such an elementary question, but can you please define “domain” for me?
I am having trouble identifying what I need to specify as my domain in order to select multiple files for export. My ultimate goal is simply to get to the annotation overlaps information to look at switching pause durations between speakers. Thanks in advance!
The term “domain” (maybe not the luckiest of all possible choices) in this context refers to a named collection of (.eaf) files and/or folders. If folders are added to a domain, all (.eaf) files contained by that folder become part of that domain. You could also think of a domain as a “basket” to which you add files and folders.
By storing a set of files and folders under a specific name you can reuse the same set later without selecting those files and/or folders over and over again. You can store several cross-sections of your corpus this way.
