Changing the location of an image file linked to multiple Elan files

Hello everyone! :slight_smile:

On our server, we have a folder with images that are linked to dozens of Elan files. For organizational purposes, we would like to relocate this folder and/or to rename one of its parent folders. However, this results in having to re-link the image files each time an Elan file is opened. Is there a work around this issue? Thanks!

Hi!

Unfortunately ELAN doesn’t have a function to batch-update media locations. Maybe there are text or XML editors that support search and replace in multiple files and that you can apply to your eaf files?
Or someone can create a script that applies the changes (maybe by modifying a function of the pympi library)?
