since i have ELAN5.9 i cant connect to our own *.ecv on server if i create a new file - and open a eaf file.
This was no proplem i older version.
.ecv-file is an export from ELAN and uploaded via ftp on server. So directly accessible.
We (still) not use signbank.
It would be great if it could be solved quickly because we ELAN work intensively in this way.

Hi, it appears that there is a https related “handshake_failure” message in the log. After some searching and testing I found out that one or two cryptography modules that are needed to connect to this server, are missing from the customized Java runtime that is part of the ELAN distribution. This does not effect all https connections.
These modules will be added to the next release of ELAN, but until then there are no easy and quick solutions.
If a user has a full OpenJDK 11 installation somewhere she/he could modify the ELAN.cfg file to point the app.runtime property to the folder of that runtime. But I’m afraid this is not something for the average user.
