I’m looking for a software to analyse part of the screen (semiotic analysis). Is Elan able to create shapes on screen and assign code to them?
If not, do you know a program that would do it?

For some time this has been (experimentally) possible, but it isn’t in current ELAN releases. This has mainly to do with the problem of integrating (visualization of) shapes on top of the video in the different media frameworks ELAN uses.
I’m not sure if Anvil supports this. Or maybe VIAN?

For VLAN, I’m trying to understand how it works (No documentation is available yet for their annotation system!)
