Hello,
Since yesterday, when I’m coding ELAN suddenly freezes, the screen turns black and I can’t do anything, not even saving my work or closing the window.
I have the last version of the software (6.0) and I’m running it on Windows 10. I’ve already tried rebooting my PC and reinstalling the software.
Does anyone else have the same problem? I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to solve this.

Hi,
This sounds like there might be something wrong with the ELAN file (if this happens only/mainly with this one file). ELAN doesn’t update itself, so if Windows wasn’t updated just before the freezing started, changes in the software setup can probably be ruled out as possible cause of the freezing.

Thank your for your answer. The error was occurring on several files. Thanks to your recommendation I’ve checked the .log and reinstalled my Java. The problem seems to be solved, it has only crashed once since but I’ve been able to keep on with my work.
