Could anyone explain me how the function “Add Bulk Resource Files via Favourites” works? The way I thought it might work is to add resources to a corpus that are each stored in an instance of the selected favourite session.
After selecting the resources, selecting the favourite and ticking the “Metadata for each resource”-box I clicked on open and nothing happens.
Thanks for pointing this out. I had a look and indeed this feature does not seem to be working as it should.
Unfortunately, Arbil is no longer being actively maintained. Therefore it is unlikely that we will be able to trace the cause and fix the underlying issue. To prevent confusion, we will remove the feature in an upcoming ‘hotfix’ release.
As an alternative to the broken bulk addition feature, you can either create the metadata files one by one using favourites and linking in resources using drag and drop, or see if you can find a solution outside Arbil (e.g. by means of a script or XSLT), after which you can import the any IMDI or CMDI files you created into Arbil for further processing.
