- Description : Poga prepares the monkey that had been shot in the forest and that Mimbe had brought earlier. She fetches a large metal bowl with water; Tata chases away a dogs who wantsto get into a basket with food. Poga then puts the monkey in the fire to burn off the fur, turning the monkey and scraping of the burnt fur. Mimbe comes and helps turning the monkey in the fire while Poga is fanning more air to the fire, with a leaf, to make it hotter. When the fur is completely burned off, Mimbe washes the monkey in the metal bowl. Then she cuts it open with a machete, lengthwise on the belly, and cleans out the intestines. When she is done, she shows the monkey to the camera and jokingly dances to the music in the background while talking with Yane. She also asks to see the video that Christopher is making of the process.

- Description : Nze Paul is the chief of Ngolo village. His mother is Nandtoungou and his wife Ngolo Dorothée. They have three children: Ada, Apato, and Aminu. Nze often stays in the village as a guardian when the others are away on a hunting trip or a funeral in another village. The title as chief of the village is a Bulu invention and does not reflect necessarily the egalitarian structures in Gyeli society.
