Nocte

Recordings in the Namsang variety of Nocte Namsang Nocte is one of the varieties of Nocte spoken in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh and in Burma. Namsang recordings in this archive have the code njb-nms as the first element of their names. This coding contains the ISO639-3 code for all Nocte languages (njb), in combination with an informal code for the variety. Prior to 16th February 2012, our Nocte recordings were named with the code SDM35. Nocte (or Nokte) is the name given in India to groups in both Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh and in neighbouring Dibrugarh district of Assam speaking languages of the Northern Naga also known as Konyak group within the Tibeto-Burman language family....
