This article was published in Jornal de Minde no. 398 (November 1989). It reports on the efforts of Américo Manha (an inhabitant of Minde) to decorate the streets in Minde with lights for Christmas.
The ant and the grasshopper
The translation of the fable “The ant and the grasshopper” was published by CIDLeS (Interdisciplinary Centre for Social and Language Documentation) in “Touquim Xaral”, a Minderico course delivered in 12 issues; its author is unknown.
Fado Evening
Involvement: observed; A member of the Minderico community and of the organization of the Fado Evening (Comissão de Festas do Divino Espírito Santo – all Mindericos born in the year 1969) makes the opening welcome speech in Minderico. In this event there were approximately 550 participants not only from Minde but also from the neighboring regions.
Translation of Queneau
Maria Alzira Roque Gameiro (MD009) translated one of the stories (“Récit”) of the book “Exercices de style” (1947) by Raymond Queneau. The translation was published in the glossary “Piação dos Charales do Ninhou” edited by Centro de Artes e Ofícios Roque Gameiro in 2004. The text was read aloud by MD009 in Museu de Aguarela Roque Gameiro in Minde.
Lord's Prayer
After an introduction in Portuguese done by the priest Albino Luz Carreira (MD020), the mass participants prayed the Lord’s Prayer in Minderico at the church of “Nossa Senhora da Assunção” in Minde.

The talk was held at the dinner party on the 8th of December 1991that got together all the Mindericos born in the year 1930 and celebrated their 61st anniversary in 1991. It was published in Jornal de Minde no. 420 (December 1991). In the talk Mr. Formiga (the speaker) thanks the invitation and focuses the importance of such meetings.
