Two catechisms added to the Moravian psalm book of 1784, designed and written by Br. Loretz and Auerbach. Because Brother Loretz was only visiting the Virgin Islands and Brother Auerbach was praised for his command of Negerhollands, it is most likely that Auerbach has translated the catechisms into Negerhollands, while Loretz or Loretz and Auerbach together have written the catechisms in German first.

The translation is not dated, but Oldendorp mentions his first translation of the Gospel Harmony to have been finished in 1761 (Stein 1986:10).

Translation of the Samuel Lieberkühn's Evangelienharmonie "Die Geschichte unsers Herrn und Heilandes Jesu Christi aus den vier Evangelisten zusammen gezogen". A copy of Böhner1, made by Böhner himself, with some adjustments with respect to the previous translation. This version too ends with a translation of the Acts of the Apostles. Original document contains a preface in Negerhollands where the problems of the author, a Moravian missionary, in translating into Negerhollands, which is not his mother tongue, are discussed. This preface features as a separate document in the database: Preface Böhner2. The database contains 485 of the 526 pages of the full manuscript.
As to the dating of the manuscript: the manuscript itself is not dated, but the preface mentions the author to have lived at St. Thomas for forty years. Given that he arrived at St. Thomas in 1742 (Stein 1986:10-11), the preface must have been written in 1782. As the manuscript is very long and has probably taken a long time to finish, parts of the actual translation will have been written many, many years before 1782. Because we do not know what parts were written when, the whole manuscript has been dated 1782, the estimated year it was finished as a whole.

A copy of a translation of the chapters 1-43 of the Evangelienharmonie of Samuel Lieberkühn (1710-1777). The translator must have been a Moravian missionary, given that the text, together with Geskiedenis, unknown (3.2.3.2.A) has been found in the archives of the Brethren Unity. They had been stored there together with other documents with the same handwriting, of which one was dated 1796 and two 1797. Therefore, both Geskiedenis (3.2.3.1.) and Geskiedenis, unknown (3.2.3.2.A) are expected to be from the roughly the same period.
