Radin was predominatly an ethnologist who conducted extensive fieldwork among the Ojibwa ans Winnebago Indians of the Great Lakes region. He died 1959 in New York City. Paul Radin has worked with the Hoocąks for several years and conducted field research from 1909-1913.
