28 October 2015: Arbil 2.6
Arbil 2.6 is mostly a maintenance release that fixes a number of issues and provides improved support for CMDI and both recent and upcoming changes in the TLA archive. For an extensive list of changes, see the release notes.
25 July 2014: Arbil 2.5
The main new features of Arbil 2.5 are:
- Translation of the application into German, Spanish and Italian
- Importing and exporting of favourites
- Node and field deletion from the table
- Verbatim XML tree mode for CMDI documents

8 February 2013: Arbil 2.4
The main new features of Arbil 2.4 are:
- Improved performance when adding multiple nodes
- Faster loading of CMDI profiles list
- Display of codes, e.g. for languages in controlled vocabularies
- Option to jump to the parent document from rows in tables showing multiple nodes
- Separate help pages for IMDI and CMDI with completely revised help contents
- Experimental support for plugins

6 March 2012: Arbil 2.3
The main new features of Arbil 2.3 are:
- Full support for the CMDI metadata format
- A setup wizard that will help the user setting up their workspace on first run
- A new hierarchical view on metadata files (‘Edit all metadata’)
- Navigation buttons on the long field editor that allow one to edit the fields of a node sequentially
- Drop-downs with auto-complete for vocabulary fields
- Improved icon set that makes it easier to distinguish between types of tree nodes and metadata fields
- A large number of usability improvements
