The specifications of the machine shouldn’t be the problem.
The description resembles a bit some of the problems discussed here. In general one can look at the audio visualization options, especially if no additional .wav file is linked.
I assume this is not the real problem here, if even pausing the video takes a lot of time. I have no immediate explanation for this: even if the video is extremely big and high quality (in terms of resolution, frame rate, duration etc.) I wouldn’t expect pausing the player to take such a long time to respond.
To see if the cause is somehow in the video, could you download one of the ACLEW example sets from our website and see if the same freezing and lagging occurs in that case?
